In most cases, no prior appointment is required. You can go directly to any of our collection centres. If you prefer to schedule home sample collection, you can do so via the online form.

Yes. You can have clinical analyses done even without a prior medical prescription. However, please note that without a medical prescription, your insurance will not cover the procedure, so you will need to pay for the analyses privately.

If you do not have specific tests in mind, our clinical team can advise you on the most suitable exams for your situation. At our Maputo Laboratory, we have a General Practitioner available who can assess you on the spot, prescribe the necessary tests, and later interpret the results during a follow-up consultation.

When you arrive, our team will greet you, confirm your details, and review your doctor’s request (if applicable). You will then proceed to the collection room, where an experienced technician will explain each step. If a blood sample is required, your arm will be disinfected, a tourniquet will be applied, and a fine needle will be inserted into a vein. This is a quick and generally painless procedure. The sample is collected into special tubes, and once finished, gentle pressure is applied to the site.

If urine or another biological sample is needed, you will receive instructions on the spot. All collections are performed in any of our collection centres with the same professionalism and care, and all samples are analysed in our laboratories with strict technical standards. Once reviewed by a doctor, results are available by email or for in-person collection.

It depends on the type of test. For analyses such as blood glucose or lipid profile, an 8 to 12-hour fast is recommended. Small amounts of water are allowed. However, some tests do not require fasting.

For most routine analyses, results are available within 24 hours. More complex tests may take a few days.
